A USB microscope can be useful for electronics or not ?
I was very skeptical before buying this gadget.
Everyone seems to use it for general inspection and not as a real time soldering equipment.
I have seen the excellent review of Todd Harrison which i highly recommend to watch before buying this gadget.
Two main things bothered me : how responsive would be on a fast desktop computer and if the distance between the microscope and the PCB board would be enough for soldering elaboration.
I bought this 800X microscope from e-bay and i must say that i was impatient to see its capabilities.

The package arrived today without a box. It came with a mini CD with the drivers a little stand, a calibration rule , a plastic cover for the lens and the microscope itself.

The given stand is without doubt an inspection only stand since the maximum distance between the microscope and the PCB can be few millimeters.

I was aware about that so i made a pretty simple modification. I have added a 20cm flexible arm.

Once done this modification i was able to use a classic 'third hand' tool in order to place the PCB board underneath the microscope : Memory clean 2 mac download. Keyscape download mac.

Drivers worked well under Windows 7 64 bit version. I have also installed the 'Measurement' program.
This microscope came with two programs, one called 'CamApp' and one called 'Cooling Tech' (the 'Measurement' program from the menu).

The 'Cooling Tech' aka 'Measurement' application haven't recognized the USB microscope at all (at least under Win 7 64 bit).
I was forced to use the CamApp application for live microscope inspection.

Notice that 'Cooling tech' aka 'Measurement' does not capture the USB microscope but as we can see later you can use it to do measurements from the taken photos with 'CamApp'.

If you are not satisfied with CamApp you can use the Yawcam in order to get live stream from your USB microscope.

CamApp can take snapshots and video captures. Some demo videos will be posted later in this article.

The dark troopers seen on The Mandalorian most closely resemble the iterations seen for Phase Three, suggesting that Gideon finishes the work of the project's creator, General Rom Mohc. The dark troopers were advanced battle droids and infantry exoskeletons that featured heavy plating that resembled the armor of a stormtrooper, powerful weapons, and jetpacks for increased flexibility and tactical advantage. #Dark #Imperial #Star #Trooper #Wars. The Phase II Dark Trooper, on the other hand, boasts external elements giving it a bulkier and more intimidating appearance. Then we have the Phase III Dark Trooper, although this was never fully. The three phases of dark troopers The Dark Troopers were advanced battle droids and infantry exoskeletons that featured heavy plating that resembled the armor of a stormtrooper, powerful weapons, and jump packs for increased flexibility and tactical advantage. Battle takes place in an unpopulated NYC. Dark Trooper Phase III & The Space Marine have their usual gear/tech for this encounter. For this scenario the SM will be a Veteran Black Templar near.

Hasbro certainly upped the ante with their second series of Walmart exclusive Droid Factory sets. And by this we mean the buildable droid itself because it is unbelievable! The two-packs were primarily all based from the various Expanded Universe sources in one form or another. Besides a few surprise characters and neat accessories, the figures in the two-packs weren’t anything too exciting. But the Build A Droid figure for this group was the reason to buy the sets. Hasbro designed the mammoth Dark Trooper (Phase III) and it is one big droid. He is actually huge, and Hasbro cleverly fit his nine separate parts into only five different two packs (unlike six sets for the first go around). Some of the two packs come with two limbs while others come with just one part. But regardless of the arrangement and assortment of the parts, they come together to form one big, massive and awesome Dark Trooper (Phase III) action figure. What's more impressive is that he is super-articulated, sporting an incredible amount of articulation (with extra points of articulation if you count his movable/removable shoulder armor). We think Hasbro has reached a new plateau when it comes to the Build A Droid platform and the Dark Trooper (Phase III) is indeed the most impressive. Hasbro has stated that this was the only way that they could have brought this figure to collectors due to its sheer size. It would never fit in the basic line packaging. When all is said and done, Dark Trooper (Phase III) towers over and simply dwarfs the silver Dark Trooper figure (previously available in 1998's POTF Expanded Universe line as well as the 2007 TAC DarktrooperSaga Legends re-relase).

The range of movement for the new Dark Trooper (Phase III) figure is simply incredible. And while the old phase II version was excellent for its time, we have been treated to a marvelous new creation that renders the 1998 version obsolete. Dark Trooper (Phase III) towers over 2008's TLC General Grievous (BD 25) figure and all of the Chewbacca figures released to date (as far as height is concerned) and when it comes to breadth and width, well, just forget about it. He rivals most all other figures as perhaps the broadest trooper or army builder we have ever received. His stature is foreboding and intimidating and the look on his 'face' clearly intimates that any onlooker should stay far away! Dark Trooper (Phase III) has been colored excellently and the contrast of the blacks and silvers used to decorate him clearly express that it is manufactured from some metallic based material. The 'solid' look of him is truly stunning and the areas that do show some silver highlights that show the distinct separation of the outer armor and “body glove” if he were to have one. The Dark Trooper (Phase III) is also accented with red details here and there and they are painted so brightly that they almost look like lit lights. The glowing illusion is a testament to how well this figure is painted and it also implies the various functionalities that are on its backpack. Dark Trooper (Phase III) comes with a large gun and it has plenty of red detail on it as well. It is a fantastic use of color and it doesn't overshadow its dark, brooding, and threatening presence. These droids were nicknamed 'bipedal tanks', so you know that they were intended to be quite a formidable enemy and defender of their cause. The Dark Trooper (Phase III) is indeed an amazing droid and action figure.

The Dark Trooper (Phase III) will indeed be one of the most highly sought after figures in the Legacy Collection. Many have passed on them thanks to the ridiculous $17.00 MSRP for each two-pack. This also means that even less collectors will be willing to shell out $85.00 before tax for ten repainted and retooled figures just to get assemble it. Some may not want the droid parts and they may just find their way on eBay at some point, but this is even less likely. The reason to buy the two-packs is to assemble the Dark Trooper (Phase III) figure. You may want to know that you shouldn’t expect this figure as a 'down the road' Saga Legends figure. Hasbro has already stated that he is much too big to ever include as a basic figure. So, it looks like that this is the only medium in which you will be able to build it. We think that the Dark Trooper (Phase III) in and of itself is reason enough to pick up all five Droid Factory sets but this is something that can only be determined by you (and this certainly isn’t the case as they are not selling through as Hasbro has hoped). (Editor’s Note: Hasbro confirmed that they canceled the next wave of Walmart exclusive Droid Factory sets due to the poor sales of this series. Too bad that poor distribution played a part in their failure as well.) Collectors should take time to ponder how to get these sets into their collections because they offer a lot more than just the Dark Trooper (Phase III). For the first time, we get two figures based on the Droids TV series (the first in the modern line). These sets do have worthiness of your purchase. What we can say conclusively is that this is a figure certainly not to miss! What you may find interesting is that Wookieepedia's entry on this character explains that very few units of the Dark Trooper (Phase III) were ever created. With Hasbro's claims that this series of the exclusive Droid Factory has been produced in much less numbers, it looks as if collectors may be following suit and building a great deal less too!

A videotape emerged of Robert Chambers at a wild party in which he was surrounded by women in lingerie. Australian nurse Tara Jayne has had countless surgeries to transform her look and become a 'real-life' Barbie doll. The 31-year-old said she has likely spent close to $200,000 on procedures.

In April 1988, the tabloid television program A Current Affair obtained and broadcast a home video showing Chambers at a party when he was free on bail. He was shown in the video playing with four lingerie-clad girls, choking himself with his hands while making loud gagging noises, and twisting a Barbie doll's head off, saying in falsetto: 'My name is…Oops! I think I killed it.'

Chambers served most of his 15-year sentence at Auburn State Prison, but was later moved to Clinton Correctional Facility due to his infractions, which cost him all his time off for good behavior. He assaulted a correctional officer and was cited repeatedly for weapons and drug infractions, some of which resulted in additional criminal charges. Ellen Levin, mother of Jennifer Levin, also pleaded before the New York parole board to deny him parole. Nearly five years of his term were served in solitary confinement.

As mentioned before, Robert Chambers literally snapped a Barbie doll's head off and had a laugh with his adoring groupies making a reference to the murder of Jennifer Levin. As I have said before, jurors were never allowed to see this infamous video. Men suffering from The Barbie Doll Syndrome are liars and blame the victim. It wasn’t long before Robert Chambers, a then-20-year-old former prep school kid who was dating Levin, was being interrogated by police for the crime. The two had been dating, and Levin.

In 1997, Chambers sent an untitled essay he wrote to prison anthologist Jeff Evans. The piece, subsequently titled 'Christmas: Present,' appeared in the book, Undoing Time: American Prisoners in Their Own Words. Written while Chambers was incarcerated at Green Haven Correctional Facility in Stormville, New York, the essay is an entry from one of his journals, which he calls 'a record of the meaningless hope and frightening losses of a person I don’t even know.'

Chambers was released from Auburn Prison on February 14, 2003, after having served the entirety of his prison term due to his numerous infractions. His release was a media circus, with news media staking out prime sections of sidewalk opposite the prison as early as 13 hours before his 7:30 a.m. release time. The same day, a documentary was aired on Dateline, interviewing Chambers. Chambers, continued to claim that he strangled his victim Jennifer Levin accidentally in a desperate attempt to stop her from hurting him during rough sex in New York's Central Park. He also denied that he had been in disciplinary trouble in prison. However, he had numerous infractions, including assaulting a member of the staff and was caught with heroin in his cell.

The owner of Dorrian's Red Hand came to a private settlement with Levin's parents on their claim that the bar had served alcohol to Chambers in excess. A wrongful death lawsuit, to which Chambers pled no contest, provides that he must pay all lump sums he receives, including any income from book or movie deals, plus 10 percent of his future income (up to $25 million), to the Levin family. The family has said all the money it gets from Chambers will go to victims' rights organizations. Ellen Levin became an activist for victims' rights, helping to secure the passage of 13 pieces of legislation.

After leaving prison, Chambers settled in Dalton, Georgia with his girlfriend, Shawn Kovell, who had appeared in the infamous Barbie doll video made before his sentencing. The two lived there for eight to nine months. He found a job at the Pentafab dye factory. Chambers and Kovell moved to an East 57th Street Sutton Place, Manhattan apartment in New York, when the death of Kovell's mother in the autumn of 2003 left it vacant. Chambers found a job at a limousine company in Queens, and later in a New Jersey sports trophy manufacturer's engraving plant.
